Parting Is Such Sweet Sorrow
Kuta, 7th March 2002
Not much to report today, except that today was our last day
travelling as the fantastic four. :o( . Nat and Em had decided to
spend their last two nights away in a nice hotel with a big swimming
pool. (Em paid with her travellers' cheques because Nat has no more
money!). However, Stinge and I stuck to our basic, but acceptable
US$2 a night place. No pool, but very very cheap. We've still got a
bit of travelling ahead, so no need to burn money! Anyhow, for the
small fee of 20,000Rp (US$2) we could use the pools (yes, plural is
right) in the hotel where the girls were staying.
We spent most of today swimming around in the fantastic pools and
chatting. We only left the hotel a few times to eat. We had our last
meal together at our favourite place, the "Good Luck" cafe.
It was a very relaxing day, and little else happened. The hours
passed quickly, and after some tearful goodbyes, we all retired to
our different hotels.
Tomorrow, our first day of duo travelling begins.
